Demetrius Gallitzin?
Gallitzin Press is named after the Russian prince who, upon emigrating in 1792, went on to become the first priest to receive all his minor orders and ordination in America. Starting his priestly duties at Conewago Chapel in Hanover, Pennsylvania, he then requested to be a missionary to the sparsely populated center of the state. There, he founded Loretto, Pennsylvania, in honor of Loretto, Italy. He bravely and perseveringly ministered to the settlers through many trials and hardships, even using his own inheritance to buy land and sell it at a discount to his flock. His church and preserved home, along with his crypt, can be visited as it is frequently by many locally who still honor his holiness, petition for favors, and return in thanksgiving.
